3:00 PM Devine Mercy Chaplet and Benediction
The current restrictions announced by Governor Wolf do not affect houses of worship. Our Mass schedule for Advent remains unchanged. Please keep checking periodically for any changes which may develop. Please continue to pray for the world and an end to the pandemic.
Saint Peter Parish has reopened for public worship on Sundays and weekday masses. We will follow our regular schedules for masses, adoration, and devotions.
Weekend Masses
Saturday 4:30 PM, Sunday 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM
Live-Streaming:
The Live Stream Link on our Facebook page can be found here:
https://www.facebook.com/stpetercolumbia/live_videos/
Even though the Church is reopened for public worship we will continue streaming the mass through our parish Facebook page. Please note: Only 10:30 AM mass will be live-streamed. The obligation to attend Mass is still suspended by Bishop Gainer. If you do not feel safe returning to Church at this time and plan to continue watching the live stream Mass, you are invited to drive to the Church after the 10:30 AM Mass has ended and receive Holy Communion. However, this will only be available until 12:00 Noon on Sunday.
Weekday Masses
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00 AM
Wednesday 6:00 PM (St. Mary’s Chapel, Wrightsville)
Due to restrictions please take note of the following:
Reception of Holy Communion: Holy Communion in the hand is recommended during this unprecedented time. However, those who wish to receive communion on tongue are welcome to receive on tongue at the end, preferably only from the Celebrant.
Reconciliation: Father Swamy is available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the times listed on the website or on a one on one basis. Please call the rectory and leave a message to schedule an appointment or send him an email at fr.aswamymsfs@gmail.com.
Face Masks: Face masks are to be worn by all lay faithful who attend the mass. Face mask can be removed during readings and at the reception of the Holy Communion.
Votive Candles: Please request the usher to light the votive candle for you.
Collection Baskets: Please drop off your weekly offering in the collection basket as you exit. You are also welcomed to make online giving to the parish using the diocesan online giving platform.
Use of Restrooms: Use of restrooms in the parish center are highly recommended. Please reserve the use of restroom in the Church only for emergency.
This is a new experience for all of us and we will make adjustments to the guidelines as needed. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. God bless you.
